Mitigating the alarming cases of dengue as noted by the Provincial Health Office in Ligao, the City Government of Ligao, through the City Health Office (CHO) and Ecological Solid Waste Management Office (ESWMO), kicked off the project dubbed as Search and Destroy Clean Up Drive on 30 September 2017 with the theme “Hanapin at Puksain ang mga Pinangingitlugan ng Lamok” .

The said project is implemented to search and destroy possible mosquito breeding places such as in open receptacles with water, unused tires, clogged gutters, empty drums and bottles, and etc..

The city government encouraged the Barangays Binatagan, Sta. Cruz, Layon, Tuburan, Bagumbayan, Tinago, Tomolin, Pinit, Bay, Nabonton, and Malama to organize a group of volunteers responsible for the conduct of the Search and Destroy Clean Up Drive in their respective location for six weeks.
