As the locality’s tourism industry is one of the key drivers to economic growth, the City Government of Ligao, through the City Tourism Office, in partnership with the Department of Tourism V is conducting a 7-day Eco-Tour Guides Training on May 4-10, 2017.
The main objective of the training is to fine-tune the participants on how to effectively deliver quality service to the tourists who desires to visit and see the natural wonders situated in the City.
Lectures on Stargazing, Work Values and Formation, Biodiversity and Sustainable Tourism, Flora and Fauna/ Eco-Tourism Practical Guiding Techniques and Child Safe Tourism are taught at the SP Session Hall. The outdoor trainings such as the Basic Mountaineering Course, Bird Watching, Water Safety and Rescue are held at the Kawa-Kawa Hill and Natural Park and at Sitio Tambac, Maonon, Ligao City.
The training is participated by the members of Bantay Dagat, Mt. Masaraga Tour Guides, LGU Employees, Public Teachers, College Students and Red Cross Youth – Ligao Chapter.
It is expected that after the Eco-Tour Guides Training, there will be a positive feedback and excellent output in line with the goal to boost the tourism in Ligao City.
